There’s the Colosseum, the Eiffel Tower, the Burj Khalifa — and now Quinta Brunson’s hair at the Met Gala 2023. The Abbott Elementary creator and star showed up on the white carpet with a towering, architectural hair look that we can’t help but stop and stare at.
“For Quinta’s look we decided to traverse the intersection between hair and high fashion, creating an artistic crown headpiece using her natural voluminous curls and coils to make a statement and up the ante on her signature updo,” her hairstylist Alexander Armand said in a press release. The look perfectly complements her floor-length Prabal Gurung gown.

The hairstyle features braids gathered into three rounded sections (in the shape of a clover) with pink feathers peaking from them. The cherry on top — or, rather at the bottom, along her hairline — is her edges, perfectly looped and framing her face. The key to those edges, according to Armand? Maui Moisture’s Lightweight Curls + Flaxseed Edge Control and a fine-tooth comb.
