The early May bank holiday falls on Monday, May 1, and the deals we found have arrivals on Thursday, April 27 or Friday, April 28.

May is a great month to head on a short beach break, as the temperatures are rising, and the sun is almost guaranteed to be shining.

On top of that, the beach is often less crowded, but beach bars, restaurants and clubs already start to open for the summer season – so it’s a perfect time for a quiet getaway.

Popular hotspots for Brits include Spain, Greece and Turkey – and many of them have temperatures at least around 24C.
