PSL 2023 is currently being played across four venues with total of 34 matches to be played. The four venues for PSL 2023 are Karachi’s National Stadium, Multan Cricket Stadium, Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, and Rawalpindi’s Pindi Cricket Stadium. The final will be held at the Gaddafi Stadium on March 19 (Wednesday).
The six franchises competing in season 8 are the founding franchises in Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi, and Quetta Gladiators. Qalandars are the defending champions.
Tabraiz Shamsi goes ahead of Ihsanullah
In order to be considered for the top 10 bowling economy rate list, we have set a cap of at least four overs bowled by a player.
Following the cap, Karachi Kings’ South African spinner Tabraiz Shamsi sits at the top of the best economy rate rankings after playing just one match. He made the most out of the first match opportunity by delivering 3/18 in a four-over spell against Multan Sultans. His spell was crucial in the win for the side, who was in the bottom half of the table.
Ihsanullah, in true sense, has been the best economical bowler this PSL. Topping the wicket-taking chart with 14 wickets, the Multan Sultans pacer is second in the economy rate list with a figure of 5.54. He is only the second bowler after Shamsi to have an economy rate below 6.
