NHL Opening Night Preview

With the Colorado Avalanche winning the Stanley Cup last season with a 4-2 series win over the defending champs Tampa Bay Lightening, they now come into this season as the rightful favorite with hopes of a repeat.

For the season opener, they decided to go a little non-traditional. The NHL season technically starts Friday, October 7th, internationally, with the Sharks and Predators playing a back-to-back Global NHL series. It’s the first time the NHL has played an international game since 2019.
