What is vegan beauty?

Vegan beauty are products that don’t contain any ingredients that are derived from animals – and that includes lanolin (found in sheep’s wool), honey, beeswax (which comes from bees) and carmine (a red pigment derived from insects).

What’s the difference between cruelty-free and vegan?

Cruelty-free, which is often certified with the Leaping Bunny logo, means the product was developed without being tests on animals, at all. Vegan means that the product also does not include any animal-derived ingredients, like we’ve mentioned above.

Are vegan products good?

Historically, vegan products often lack the ‘ooh la la’ and luxury that brands that have tested on animals or include animal bi-products in. Having said that, over the past few years, the beauty industry and brands have tried to change this misconception – and provide high quality alternatives.
