There’s no question that Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser’s confidence is at an all-time high after playing an integral role for Gilas Pilipinas in the recent Cambodia Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.

And Ganuelas-Rosser hopes to carry that into next PBA season for the NLEX Road Warriors, who will be glad to see the same form after his all-around play and energy on both ends of the floor.

“I think it would help a lot, being able to play big games, especially that last game, the gold medal game,” he said.

“I told [Gilas coach Chot Reyes] that I’m willing to do whatever they need me on both ends, I’ll do it. Whether it’s switching out, rebounding, clogging the lane. I think taking those things and being able to play in big games will help me out.”

It was also a personal redemption for Ganuelas-Rosser, who in last year’s SEA Games in Hanoi, Vietnam, could only land a bronze medal finish as part of the 3×3 team with Jorey Napoles, Marvin Hayes and Reymar Caduyac.

But he and his five-on-five Gilas teammates had to deal with difficult situations, like the steamy conditions of the playing venue and facing 2022 winner Indonesia and host Cambodia, which fielded six American players who were naturalized in time for the Games.

“It was really cool to get that gold medal around my neck,” he said. “For 3×3 [last SEA Games], me and my teammates worked so hard and we went out there and we showed ourselves what we can do.

“But there was a lot left and we were gold medal caliber.

So when I got the opportunity here, I was like ‘I’m gonna do it again and get my own redemption.’ So it’s really an honor and I’m proud to be able to play.” INQ
