Big bonuses make Shinx Community Day a must in ‘Pokemon Go’

Shinx was already an appealing pick for November’s Pokemon Community Day. The Flash Pokemon was once only available in raids and in eggs, making its shiny form rather rare.

With the Flash Pokemon getting a Community Day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 21, it’s profile is going to go higher. First off, the shiny form of this is beautiful. It’s gold and black and just jumps off the screen. It’s evolved forms look just as good. The exclusive Community Day move is Psychic Fangs, which will improve Luxray’s standing in Go Battle League. That’s because the Charged Move is guaranteed to debuff an opponent’s defense by one stage. According to user JRE47 on The Silph Arena, Luxray with Psychic Fangs is a solid pick in Great and Ultra leagues. Players should pair Psychic Fangs with Wild Charge and use Spark as the Fast Move.

The normal bonuses this time around are Incense and Lure modules lasting three hours for the event. Players will likely get five surprise Shinx photobombs that will lead to a Shinx spawning in their vicinity. The quarter hatch distance for eggs is a big deal because The Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearll event is still going on. The event is the best way for players to get baby Pokemon such as Budew, Bonsly, Happiny and Riolu. Most of those are desirable Pokemon to have, especially if you can snag a shiny version, but the biggest prize is Mime Jr., which is normally a regional exclusive in Europe.

Players should make an effort to hatch as many eggs as they can during the event, so that they can grab the Mime Pokemon. It’s a lot cheaper and easier than flying to Europe. Best of all, this Pokemon can be shiny and players should count themselves lucky if they manage to hatch that rarity.

The big reason that this event is important is the special bonuses. In order to make the most room for the big December Community Day event, Niantic is activating spadditional bonuses for Sunday. Players will get triple transfer candy and four times the chance of earning Candy XL when transferring Pokemon. This is huge for players who are trying to max out their legendary and mythical Pokemon. If players want to get their Mewtwo or Kyogre to level 50 and let it wreck shop in raids or Go Battle League, now is the time to transfer an extras that they have. Personally, I have powerful shadow Mewtwo that I’ve been working on and I’m clearing all the excess Mewtwos I have amassed over the past few years in order for it to hit level 50. Other Pokemon that players should consider transferrring include Noibat, Snorlax and other pseudo-legendaries that require Candy XL to max out.

In addition, players will also get up to three free Raid Passes from gyms and they’ll find that trades will cost 25 percent less Stardust. To get these bonuses, player should do these activities during the community day and two hours afterward.
