Bigg Boss OTT 2: Abhishek Malhan, Jiya Shankar and Akanksha Puri nominated for eviction, fans call the show ‘biased’

Contestants Abhishek Malhan, Jiya Shankar and Akanksha Puri have been nominated for this week’s eviction on Bigg Boss OTT Season 2. This comes after they were caught breaking rules of the Bigg Boss house during a task. This led to Bigg Boss gathering all contestants in the living room and firmly talking about the need to follow rules on the show. Abhishek Malhan, Jiya Shankar and Akanksha Puri’s direct nominations

On Wednesday, the makers dropped a promo from the upcoming episode. In the clip, Bigg Boss declared that the nomination rights from the contestants have been taken away due to the rule break, leading Abhishek, Jiya and Akanksha directly to the nominations.

Fans react to nominations

Reacting to the promo, several social media users criticised the show for being ‘biased.’ One of them wrote in the comment section, “I am not going to watch BBOTT … so biased everyone n everything is!!” “Unfollowing Voot…biased show,” added another. Someone wrote on Twitter, “This season of BB is most biased n I don’t think we should watch or vote because makers is the one who will decide whom to eliminate n whom to make winner.”

Aaliya Siddiqui evicted

It was Aaliya Siddiqui, the estranged wife of Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who was last evicted from the reality show. She left the house after a surprise mid-week eviction. Later, Aaliya told DNA India, “Maine apne baare mein baat kar li, par uss baat ko le ke mujhe target karna, yeh mujhe samaj nahi aaya (Yes, I shared my past in the house but I didn’t understand why I was targeted for that). Everyone was discussing their personal life. Why was I targeted?”

During the conversation, Aaliya also said that she is looking forward to the upcoming Weekend Ka Vaar episode. “Ab next weekend pe main dekhna pasand karungi ki jo Pooja (Bhatt) ne kaha ki ‘main Mahesh Bhatt ki beti hoon’ (Pooja boasts that ‘she’s the daughter of Mahesh Bhatt), I want to see how Salman will react to this. I have also spoken about the outside world and even she has. So I want to see how fair the game is,” she said.

The second season of Bigg Boss OTT started on June 17 and is being hosted by Salman Khan. Avinash Sachdev, Palak Purswani, Bebika Dhurve, Jiya Shankar, Falaq Naazz, Akanksha Puri, Jad Hadid, Cyrus Broacha, Manisha Rani, Abhishek Malhan, and Pooja Bhatt are currently competing in the house.
