New England Patriots GM Bill Belichick really wanted to see Pamela Anderson.
So much so that he picked Anderson’s former boyfriend San Diego Chargers long snapper David Binn for his 2007 Pro Bowl selection in an effort to get the ex-Baywatch star to attend the event.

While speaking to Bill Simmons and Eli Manning during an episode of ESPN’s ‘Manningcast,’ Peyton Manning told a story about how then-coach Belichick picked Binn in hopes of seeing a bikini-wearing Anderson poolside in Hawaii.
“Another time, he picked David Binn, who was a long snapper, because he was dating Pamela Anderson, and Bill thought the players would like seeing Pamela at the pool in Hawaii — she didn’t come, but that’s a cool Belichick story,” said Manning.

Binn himself had told a similar story this past June when he appeared on the Pro Football Doc Podcast.
According to Binn, he was walking off the field after the first Pro Bowl practice when he was approached by Belichick.
“I’m coming off and I’m walking by Bill, and he looks at me and he’s like, ‘Hey, where’s your girlfriend?’” Binn said, per the New York Post.
“I said, ‘Oh, Pam? She didn’t come out.’ He goes, ‘Remind me why the f*** I invited you out here then?”
Binn said he thought Belichick was joking at first.
“I thought he was kidding, but he didn’t crack a smile, and then I was like, ‘Wait, is he serious?’” he said. “I just walked off, I couldn’t figure it out.”
Binn said he laughed it off at first, but then questioned whether the coach “really wanted me to bring Pam.”
“S***, should I call her right now?” Binn recalled thinking.
Anderson and Binn dated briefly in 2007-08.
