Tyson Fury may be done with professional boxing, but it appears the WBC heavyweight champion still has an appetite for fighting and could compete again in the near future.

Last week, The Gypsy King excited fight fans when he announced his comeback before later reaffirming his retirement by officially informing the WBC and relinquishing his Ring Magazine belt.

Since his last fight in April, the 34-year-old has expressed an interest in taking part in exhibition bouts against the likes of Hafthor ‘Thor’ Bjornsson, Mike Tyson, Frank Bruno, and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

It now appears that Fury may have an alternative option for his next fight as Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship [BKFC] president Dave Feldman revealed he is keen to bring him on board.

“I think it [signing Tyson Fury] is definitely possible, if they take us seriously because we are the new kid on the block, they might not listen to us. If they listen to us, then absolutely I think we can get a deal done,” Feldman told talkSPORT.

“He absolutely is on our radar; he would take this sport to a whole different level. You just saw it at Wembley Stadium with almost 100,000 people in there.

“I think Tyson Fury would take this to a whole other level and we would absolutely love to make a play for him.”

BKFC, which will host its first UK show on August 20 at Wembley Arena, has managed to attract several big-name MMA fighters such as Paige VanZant, Michael Page, Chad Mendes, and Artem Lobov but are yet to convince any top boxers to join.

The BKFC boss says his primary goal is to bring big boxing names over to bare-knuckle in the near future while revealing he is already in talks with two stars of the sport.

“I just wanna get some more of these boxers. We are going to make a play for some of these really good boxers,” Feldman said.

“I can’t mention their names right now because it’s not done but we have two of the top 10 in the world we are negotiating with right now.”

Despite repeated talk of retirement and novelty fights, it appears Fury will ultimately return to the ring to face the winner of Oleksandr Usyk vs. Anthony Joshua 2, which takes place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on August 20.

So, for now, Feldman will have to look elsewhere for his first big boxing signing that he believes will help his promotion keep growing at a rapid pace.
