1. Go camping

You can make enduring memories with your children on family camping trips. Additionally, grilling outside over a fire is much more pleasurable than roasting a turkey inside. It’s likely to be more enjoyable than going to the mall if you include some spooky stories and stargazing.

2. Walk down memory lane

Do you have out-of-town relatives who are coming to visit? Why not take them back in time with you? Get those old family pictures out. Be amused by everyone’s attire. Observe how much your nephew resembles your uncle when they were little.

3. Get crafty

Instead of buying pointless artificial gifts, make something meaningful for your loved ones. Making something with your hands and using your imagination could be extremely relaxing. It will be a gift with much more meaning than anything you could possibly purchase. Bring out your old crayons and paints to get your creative juices flowing.

4. Long drives

Grab some Thanksgiving leftovers for snacks, play your favourite Spotify playlist, and get everyone into the car if you’re feeling pent up. You do not need to have a specific destination. Take the scenic way and make stops at interesting locations. Visit the small town you haven’t been to in a while.

5. Play board games

Get everyone to put down their devices, pull out a board game from the closet, and spend some time laughing and having fun together.

6. Movie time

Family movie nights provide devoted time and the chance to strengthen family ties. Your kids will enjoy cuddling up next to you and watching the adventure unfold on the screen. It is the stuff that makes childhood memories.

7. Read a book

Pick up a book that has been sitting on your shelf for a while, and you can learn something new while you escape into a work of fiction or non-fiction. Let your mind and body unwind as you become absorbed in the plot lines.
