Dubbed the “Peach Bowl Girl,” Gurd was repeatedly featured during the broadcast of the semifinal game held at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta and social media users went to work trying to learn her name.

On Monday, in a video posted to her TikTok page, Gurd confirmed she is the “Peach Bowl Girl.”

Online posts asked who is the peach and noted her heartbreaking blue eyes.

“Hi. I’m Catherine Gurd and I’m the Peach Bowl girl,” Gurd, a Xavier University lacrosse player, said in the Inside Edition interview.

When the camera cut to Gurd, she says she was beside herself.

“I was distraught at that moment. I was praying and hoping that we would make the kick and the team would go on to the National Championships,” she said.

As for her Buckeyes, they lost the Peach Bowl 42-41after kicker Noah Ruggles missed a 50-yard field goal.

Georgia moves on to the national championship game.

Indside Edition asked Gurd if her new fame would get her more dates.
