Body found floating in Sydney’s east

Police are searching for answers after a body was found floating in a popular bay in Sydney’s sought after eastern suburbs.

Marine police were called to Watsons Bay shortly after 10am on Thursday following reports of boat debris in the water.

The body of a person has since been recovered by police.

In a statement, NSW Police said there was no further information available about the body, including age or identity.

Police were also urging anyone with information about the incident to contact the Marine Area Command or Crime Stoppers.
