Boulder had the highest percentage of people working from home at the beginning of the pandemic across metropolitan areas in the United States, recent data findings from FinancialForce said.

The company found that 16.1% of Boulder residents worked from home in 2020, topping the list over Bend, Oregon; and Austin, Texas; which followed with 12.9% and 12.5% each.

Boulder’s work-from-home population was found to have increased 3.3% from 2019 to 2020, as the pandemic hit.

The Fort Collins and Denver metropolitan areas also ranked high on the list, reaching fifth and sixth places, with 11.7% and 11.4% of their populations working remotely.
