Registration is now open for Boulder’s Tube to Work Day as the event returns from a pandemic hiatus.
The event is tentatively scheduled for July 15, with a backup date of July 29 in case of high water conditions.
The event has drawn upwards of 1,000 people in recent years, but will be capped at 800 participants this year.
There is also a $20 registration fee to help with “new insurance and medical requirements.”

“Spots are going quickly, be sure to lock in your spot for the ‘greatest commute in the world,’” organizers wrote on a Facebook post.
The event, which has grown into a local tradition celebrating alternative transportation on Boulder Creek, had been on a two-year tubing hiatus after calling off the event in 2020 and 2021.
