Pushpa: The Rise – Part 1 released in December 2021 and has done really well at the box office. The Allu Arjun starrer that started off on a sluggish note saw immense growth in business over its second and third week running. In fact, the film has continued to draw in audience despite its release on OTT streaming platforms, managing to cross the Rs. 100 cr. mark.
In this box office report we take a look at the business of Pushpa (Hindi version only), while breaking the same into collections generated from national multiple chains. Not surprisingly, Pushpa: The Rise has proved to be a money spinner not just in single screen mass dominated sectors, but has also captivated the multiple going audiences in major metros. As per collection data Pushpa managed to rake in Rs. 25.46 cr. from PVR, Rs. 21.31 cr. from Inox cinemas and a further Rs. 10.2 cr. from Cinepolis properties across the country. With a total collection of Rs. 56.97 cr. coming in the business of Pushpa has seen over 50% of its total collections coming in from national multiplex chains, with the remainder coming in from single screens in mass dominated sectors.
As per trade, the Hindi dubbed version of Pushpa: The Rise has enjoyed incredible trending across the board. In fact, post release estimates state that had the film released during pre-covid times, the business would have been much higher.
