A dad has said he “almost had a heart attack” after his four-year-old son accidentally ordered £600 worth of ice cream and cake on a delivery app.
Christian King, from Sydney, was given his father’s smartphone to play with while his sister played in a football match on Monday, but managed to do a bit more than just play Candy Crush.
The youngster managed to order $1,139 (£600) worth of ice cream and cakes from Sydney’s Gelato Messina , including a personalised birthday cake.
His dad Kris King said that the mammoth order included 99 cakes – and he thinks he was pre-planning for his upcoming birthday.
Christian ordered the huge amount of food to his Mr King’s workplace at the nearby fire station.
“First of all I thought it was $139. And then I really looked at it and it was $1,139 and we almost had a bloody heart attack,” Mr King told Perth Now.

“I flicked through the screen about 30 times. That’s how long the order was, it was like 99 cakes.
“He actually told me he ordered a birthday cake for himself, and I didn’t even believe it.
“I had steam coming out of my ears first of all, screaming his name down the street. He ran to his room before I told him so.”
But despite the horror of realising what his son had done, Mr King’s day was saved after UberEats agreed to pay the money back.
Mr King had told Christian that Santa might not be delivering presents to their home this year after the massive order.
“The icing on the cake was when UberEats said we’ll give you your money back,” Mr King said.

“(Christian’s) back in the good books and Santa is coming again.”
And Christian wasn’t the only person who could have ended up on Santa’s naughty list.
In the UK a woman has taken to Mumsnet to ask what to do about her husband, who keeps giving their son his Christmas presents early.
She said: “I’ve been saving my pennies for months and been so careful about what gifts I pick for my son because I wanted things I know he would love and appreciate. I ended up with about four presents for him but each and everyone was thought out and special.
I just want to make it a lovely memory for him and us… Only problem is my husband.
“About a week or two ago I left my husband to watch my son for a couple hours while I went to the hospital for an appointment (pregnant) when I came back my husband had found hidden presents and opened it and gave it to my son!
“I was a bit annoyed but not too unhappy as it was only a bubble bath set so not one of the main presents! This morning however I’ve woken up to my son playing with the most expensive and the present I was most excited about to see his reaction when he opens it on Christmas morning!”
She added: “I’ve saved and shopped and planned everything to make this special and he keeps ruining it!
“I don’t have a lot of money to keep replacing gifts at this rate my little one will have nothing left to open on Christmas Day.”
More than 200 people responded to her post, with many outraged by the husband’s behaviour.
