Brahmastra OTT version confirms Deepika Padukone as Ranbir Kapoor’s mom Amrita : Bollywood News – Bollywood Hungama

The hype surrounding Brahmastra doesn’t go away even after two months of its theoretical release. Since the film finally debuted on OTT in November, more people have watched it. It’s interesting to note that before its digital release, in a chat with Bollywood Hungama Ayan Mukerji had revealed that he had made certain changes to Brahmastra’s OTT version. While the speculations around the casting for the second part continue, it is confirmed that Deepika Padukone will play a pivotal character.

For the unversed, a section of viewers has claimed that they spotted Deepika Padukone in the OTT version of Brahmastra. In one of the scenes in Brahmastra released on Disney+ Hotstar, Deepika was shown mothering baby Shiva and putting him back in his crib.

Expressing their excitement, a bunch of fans took to their social media handle and shared the clip featuring glimpses of DP. One of the fans wrote, “Today, I watched Brahmastra for the second time. I hadn’t noticed Deepika Padukone before. But this time, it was so evident that she is there in the film! She has to be there in the second part too!” Another Twitter user added, “Deepika padukone in and as amritha in brahmastra eagerly waiting for dev part 2.”

Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva, centres on the life of Shiva, a young boy with the ability to control fire. Shiva, known as an ‘Agni Astra’, has visions of future threats to the world. He embarks on a mission to protect the universe, uncover his hidden abilities, and discover his part in preventing the crisis to fulfil his part.

Along with Ranbir Kapoor, the film also stars Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjun, and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles. The film, which was released on September 9 in theatres, started streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from November 4 onwards.
