The NBA’s leading playoff scorer was held out of Tuesday’s Game 2 after suffering an ankle injury in the first game of the series.
Yesterday, Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra said that Butler worked out with the team but wouldn’t tip his hand when it came to if he’d be ready for this weekend’s tip-off. Saying, “No update. … I’m not going to get into all the minutiae of it. When we find out how he is feeling on Saturday, we’ll let you know. That’s what the deal is.”
Miami dropped the second game 111-105 as the series tilts back to South Beach. There’s not doubt that Jimmy is willing to gut through it, you just hope he can be as effective as he’s been all postseason long.
