The Miami Heat will be without a key player for tonight’s Game 5 in Boston.
Starting shooting guard Gabe Vincent has been ruled out with an ankle injury that he suffered during Tuesday night’s Game 4 loss in Miami.

Vincent landed awkwardly and turned his left ankle during the second half of Tuesday’s game. At the next timeout, he immediately trotted back into the locker room for evaluation.

The 26-year-old guard later returned to the court and played through the injury, but it appears the issue has worsened over the past couple days.
Vincent is blowing his regular-season averages out of the water in this Eastern Conference Finals series, averaging 17.5 points on 50% shooting from behind the three-point arc. In Game 3, he notched 29 points on 6-9 shooting from deep.
Jimmy Butler and the Heat will need to look elsewhere for complementary scoring this evening, perhaps from Max Strus or Duncan Robinson.
Tonight’s game will tipoff at 8:30 p.m. ET in Boston.
