The Miami Heat picked up a win on the scoreboard but a huge loss in the personnel department on Saturday.
Veteran guard Victor Oladipo injured his left knee in the second half of Miami’s 121-99 Game 3 victory over the top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks last night.
It appeared serious in the moment, and The Athletic’s Shams Charania says Oladipo suffered a torn patella tendon, which will end his 2022-23 season.

Oladipo, who turns 31 next month, has dealt with injuries before. Most notably, he endured a crushing one in January 2019 when in the middle of his second straight All-Star campaign, Oladipo suffered a ruptured quad tendon in his right knee.
The injury cost him most of the next three seasons, as he played in only 60 games from 2019-22. In 42 games with the Heat this year, Oladipo averaged 10.7 points, 3.5 assists and 3.0 rebounds per outing.
Miami currently leads its best-of-seven series against Milwaukee two games to one.
