Nick Gilbert, the son of Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert, has passed away.
He was 26 years old.
Gilbert, who dealt with health issues throughout his life, was often the representative for the Cleveland Cavaliers at the NBA Draft Lottery.
He had some major success, helping the Cavs land the No. 1 pick in multiple drafts, leading to Kyrie Irving and the trade for Timberwolves star Kevin Love.
Gilbert suffered from neurofibromatosis, a genetic disorder with no known cure.
