Three-time All-Star guard Allie Quigley will not suit up for any team this upcoming WNBA season.
It was reported by Holly Rowe on Wednesday that Quigley will sit out this season.
“This is a little bit hard for us. Allie Quigley is not going to play this year,” Rowe said. “She is a champion, one of the best we’ve ever seen, a 3-point specialist. She is not going to play for Chicago this year.”
Rowe clarified that Quigley is not retiring. That leaves the door open for her to return in 2024.
Quigley has played for the Chicago Sky since 2013. Last season, she averaged 11.4 points and 2.9 assists per game.
Since entering the WNBA in 2008, Quigley has made 39.4 percent of her attempts from beyond the arc. Her ability to terrorize opponents from downtown makes her such a dynamic player.
Hopefully, we’ll see Quigley back on the hardwood next season.
