Maruti Suzuki India unveiled the eagerly awaited Brezza CNG SUV ON Friday. The SUV’s starting price (ex-showroom) is Rs 9.14 lakh, and it comes in LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi Dual-tone models. Interested people can book the CNG SUV online or at the nearby dealership.
The Maruti Suzuki Brezza CNG is the company’s 14th CNG vehicle and the second SUV to use CNG after the Grand Vitara. The Brezza has an integrated petrol and CNG fuel-lid, a specific CNG drive mode, digital and analogue CNG fuel gauges, and an illuminated fuel change over switch.
The Brezza CNG will maintain the same outward and interior style as its petrol-powered sibling. The Brezza CNG will have LED headlamps with DRLs, 16-inch alloy wheels, a seven-inch touchscreen system, cruise control, an engine push start-stop button, ESP, hill-hold assist, a rear parking camera with sensors, electric sunroof, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and many more.
In terms of the drivetrain, the same 1.5-liter NA Petrol engine that powers the Brezza and generates 100 horsepower and 136 Nm of torque will also power the Brezza CNG. The power ratings will, however, decrease to 87 bhp and 121 Nm of torque in CNG mode. Only a 5-speed manual transmission will be available, and Maruti claims that it has a fuel efficiency of 25.51 km/kg.
Price ranges from Rs. 9.14 lakh to Rs. 12.05 lakh for the Brezza CNG (ex-showroom). The SUV will still face competition from the Mahindra XUV 300, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, and Kia Sonet.
