Last night, Elvis Presley’s guitarist James Burton led a rock and roll star-studded concert at the London Palladium that overran by more than an hour as the musicians playing couldn’t stop joyously jamming together.

Sir Brian May opened the show by welcoming the excited audience that Express.co.uk was a part of, before performing Suzie Q with Burton himself and Ronnie Wood.

Alongside the Queen and Rolling Stones guitarists, a number of music legends turned out for James Burton and Friends UK including Van Morrison, John Oates and the last surviving member of The Monkees, Micky Dolenz.

After a tour through decades of rock, blues and country, the show came to an end with Sir Brian returning to the stage next to the 83-year-old Elvis guitarist and very special guest.

The Queen star highlighted how they would conclude the show by looking to the future, before introducing 11-year-old schoolboy Harry Churchill.

Harry won Sir Brian’s praise and attention after his incredible Queen medley performance in the Britain’s Got Talent auditions, which won him a place in the semi-finals.

Then in last week’s live show, the 11-year-old dressed as Marty McFly and played the Back to the Future theme and Johnny B Goodem complete with duck walk.

Sadly he was the runner-up that night and didn’t make it the final, but Sir Brian promised on his social media that this was just the beginning for the young musician. And lo and behold the Queen star surprised Harry in a Zoom video by inviting him to play at the Elvis guitarist concert in aid of The James Burton Foundation.

Having invited the young boy on stage, Harry performed Johnny Be Goode with Sir Brian, Elvis’ guitarist and the whole band in an epic conclusion to James Burton and Friends UK.

Posting snaps and videos from the night, the 75-year-old Queen star wrote: “Thanks all you lovely folks who cheered us on tonight at JAMES BURTON AND FRIENDS !!! Here’s a few captures from @sarah_rugg – thanks ! What a night ! Bri.”
