Longtime NBA insider Brian Windhorst has had a lot of good scoops over the course of his career.

Few insiders are as plugged in as the prominent ESPN reporter. In fact, Windhorst might have been the one who first knew that LeBron James was leaving Cleveland for Miami in 2010.

But he didn’t report it.

Why?

Windhorst revealed on J.J. Redick’s podcast that he brushed LeBron to Miami away, not believing it. He didn’t think the Heat had the cap space to make it happen.

LeBron, of course, ended up announcing his decision on “The Decision” live on ESPN.

The legendary NBA star ended up returning to Cleveland four years later.
