Get your fanciest most elegant Regency-era outfits out of the closet and be ready to mingle with high society because tickets to a royal ball based on a popular Netflix series are now on sale.
Netflix and Shondaland, producers of the Emmy-nominated series “Bridgerton,” are throwing a real-life ball in March named “The Queen’s Ball: A Bridgerton Experience,” at a yet-to-be-disclosed location in Los Angeles.
Guests will have to follow the instructions of Lady Whistledown’s voice, the show’s narrator, who will guide them through the British high society gala and the immersive installation that will include a string quartet playing music inspired by the series as well dancers and characters from the show.
And of course, the Queen herself will be in attendance, just don’t expect it to be the actual Queen or even the actress from the show.
The installation launches in L.A. before touring other cities like Chicago, Montreal, and Washington, D.C.
The show is based on Julia Quinn’s best-selling series of novels and set in Regency London high society. It focuses on the powerful Bridgerton family. Season two is scheduled to premiere in 2022.
It runs March 15-April 24 and is open to those 21 and older. Tickets are $49 for general admission and $90 for VIP at bridgertonexperience.com.
