Irish actress Nicola Coughlan who plays Penelope Featherington in hit Netflix drama Bridgerton has debuted a new look at day seven of Wimbledon today.
The star took to Instagram on Saturday to tease her 2.5 million followers with photos of her in a salon having her hair and brows coloured.
She cheekily captioned one shot where her hair and brows are covered in dye: “Loving my new look @mrjasonhogan,” tagging the colourist who was responsible for the transformation.
Less than 24 hours after her visit to the London salon she showed off her new locks as she attended the tennis tournament with her elder sister, Clodagh Geraghty.
Her usual blonde tresses have been replaced by a subtle strawberry shade, appropriately enough for Wimbledon, with her brows coloured in a matching tone.
The Derry Girls star swept her hair back for the day leaving just a few tendrils framing her face.
The star looked summery in a white broderie anglaise dress with spaghetti straps.
Her jewellery was minimal and all she sported was a pair of chunky gold earrings.
She wore a pair of beige mules with a low block heel on her feet and she accessorised with a two tone straw tote bag.
She also carried a black cardigan to drape over herself should it get chilly.
This is the latest new look for Nicola, who is soon to be seen in the Barbie movie sporting hair that is a very deep red.
The Galway-born actress will play Diplomat Barbie in the eagerly anticipated flick which hits cinemas on July 21.
She is part of a stellar cast which includes Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Dua Lipa, Emma Mackey, Helen Mirren and Will Ferrell to name just a few of the big names appearing in the movie.
Meanwhile the upcoming season 3 of Bridgerton will focus on Nicola’s character as she develops feelings for her best friend’s brother Colin (Luke Newton).
However, it looks as if the course fo true love won’t run smoothly as one of the early spoiler images released by Netflix show’s Penelope looking rather despondent.
No official release date has been announced yet but going by previous series fans are expecting it to land sometime in December.
The first two seasons of Bridgerton are available to watch on Netflix.
