Bring Airline First-Class Service To Your Home With Your Own SkyCart

Airplane meals are one thing people haven’t missed in two years of less traveling. But there was always one welcome sight after rushing through traffic, waiting in security and boarding lines, fighting for overhead space and then settling down in your seat for a long flight — the bar cart. Now you can bring some of that first class service into your home with your own MyCart SkyCart, manufactured to the same standards as one you’d find on an airline.

As opposed to the ones you’ve seen battered about at 40,000 feet, a brand new SkyCart is very stylish — and unless your home experiences major turbulence they are built to stay that way. They come in a range of colors as well as more vibrant graphic designs: a New York City night scene, a western landscape or even multiple skylines. For a truly retro-look you can even get a Pan-Am vintage logo covered model. A fully customized design is also possible, if you want to use your own artwork or feel like branding your own airline.

Inside the cart is where you can really make this your own. There are 13 runners, which allow you to customize the cart with your own combination of accessories: drawers, shelves, trays — even a specialized shelf for wine bottles. You can give the cart a permanent use — a portable wine cellar in the kitchen with a butcher block top or a whiskey bar in your living room — but it’s also easy enough to swap things out to prepare for different occasions.

The SkyCart is a great conversation piece to start off a dinner party. Stock it with ice, spirits, mixers and shaker. Once the guests arrive wheel the cart over and prepare a welcome cocktail in front of everyone. Or bring it out after dinner stocked with desserts and a digestif. And since everything’s mobile, it’s a great way to start or finish the evening away from the dinner table and break up the evening. And who needs guests? You can also surprise your partner with a martini or champagne cart while they’re taking a bath.

If you have the room in your kitchen to give it a permanent home the SkyKart can be very utilitarian. Keep your laptop or tablet with your recipes on it then wheel it around wherever you’re working rather than running back and forth to check your steps. Use the top as a prep station and you have a mobile cutting board. Doing some grilling? Load it up in the kitchen with marinated meats and vegetables, cooking tools and clean trays and plates, then wheel everything out in one trip.

The cart is 41″ high, 12″ wide and 16″ deep. Prices start at $1498. For more info go to MySkyCart.
