British tennis player Jodie Burrage came to the aid of an unwell ball boy during her first round match at Wimbledon.
The youngster looked unsteady on his feet early in the second set and the 23-year-old Briton quickly went to help, offering an energy gel from her bag and a drink.
The crowd also lent a helping hand, passing some Percy Pig sweets to her during a five-minute delay.
The ball boy was later treated by paramedics and left in a wheelchair.
Burrage went on to lose the match to Lesia Tsurenko 6-2 6-3 on Court 18.
The loss saw Burrage, whose impressive form in the run up to Wimbledon has seen her climb into the top 150, become the first Briton to lose at this year’s tournament.
It was a wet start in SW19 this morning with play halted after just 40 minutes of the opening day.
British number one Cameron Norrie, beginning proceedings on Court Two, had just taken the first set 6-0 against Spain’s Pablo Andujar when the rain came.
Play was suspended on all the outside courts, before restarting again just after 1pm.
Emma Raducanu and Andy Murray are both due on Centre Court today as they face Alison Van Uytvanck and James Duckworth, respectively.
