Packing for a holiday can be a nightmare, particularly if British tourists are travelling hand luggage only.
With limited space available, it can be hard to keep items separate in the case and fit everything in.
However, the travel experts at One Traveller have shared a few top tips to make the process slightly less tedious.
Tourists heading off on an adventure holiday might end up having to pack dirty shoes in their suitcases.
If there isn’t time to clean the shoes before the flight, there’s no need to worry with this nifty trick from the team.
They said: “If you haven’t got time before your trip to clean the pair of shoes you want to bring, or you’ve been doing outdoor activities whilst you’re at your destination, you might not want to put dirty shoes in with the clothes you’re packing as the dirt may transfer.
“One handy way to combat this is by using a cheap shower cap and putting it around the soles of your shoes.
“The elastic will hold it in place and the plastic cap will prevent any dirt from getting onto the clothing. Many hotels have plastic shower caps alongside the free toiletries so this is a great way to make use of them.”
If the hotel doesn’t have a free shower cap available, tourists could try putting the shoes inside a plastic carrier.
Tourists could also try packing their clothes in packing cubes so they can maximise space and keep clothes from getting dirty.
The team advises packing clothing in outfits so it’s quick and easy to unpack once in the destination.
They said: “Finding your clothes in your suitcase when you arrive on holiday can take a while if you’re unsure where everything is, and sorting through this can make your suitcase jumbled and disorganised.
“To avoid this, One Traveller recommends packing outfits together in your suitcase so all you need to do is grab the ready-made outfit when you’re at your destination.
“For example, choose a pair of shoes and wrap them in the top and bottoms you are going to be wearing with them.”
