Britney Spears’ dad tells judge to ‘end daughter’s conservatorship today’

Jamie Spears has reportedly filed documents insisting that he wants nothing more to do with daughter Britney Spears’ conservatorship and is ready to walk away from the situation today

Britney Spears’ dad has reportedly made it clear he wants nothing more to do with his daughter’s conservatorship.

Jamie Spears, 69, has been serving as the pop sensation’s conservator for 13 years and has been embroiled in a battle this year as Britney bid to end her conservatorship.

Now, he has seemingly admitted he is happy to end it as soon as possible and said he is tired of fighting with the star.

According to TMZ, documents filed by his attorneys say: “Jamie unconditionally loves and supports his daughter. Full stop.

“As he has done for her entire life, Jamie will do everything he can to protect and care for her. For the last 13 years, that included serving as her Conservator. Now, it means ending her Conservatorship.”

The filing reportedly also continues to say that Jamie is not wanting any compensation from the case and is ready to be fully transparent when handing over any files relating to the conservatorship in a bid to draw a line on the whole situation.

Despite his daughter’s claims in court in June regarding her mistreatment during the conservatorship, Jamie insists he has always worked in her best interests and is now fully ready to remove himself from the situation.

His attorney reportedly continued: “This conservatorship should end. Now. There is no reason for another second of delay. Jamie is willing to stipulate to the immediate termination of the Conservatorship without reservation or exception.”

They finish by claiming that Jamie will no longer continue as conservator and plans to hand over all files and materials over to his daughter’s attorneys and team, whether the conservatorship ends today or not.

The update comes after the Toxic singer concerned her fans over the weekend with her choice of social media posts for Halloween.

Britney uploaded images to Instagram which showed her “dead” and cuffed on the floor of her mansion.

She was covered in fake blood and while it was clear that the photos were staged and the blood wasn’t real, some of her followers took to the comments section to share their concerns.

One fan simply wrote: “ummm,” while another said: “Britney wth is this?”

She included a lengthy caption to the post which seemed to confuse users more. The words ended: “I’m saying in a crazy world like we have today that it’s pretty important to stay safe !!! Like we did for Covid y’all !!!!! But still have fun … I mean dug !!!! It’s been 13 years for me so I’m a little rusty !!!! Ma and dad can I drive my car now ??? JUST KIDDING … but seriously, can I play now ????”
