Being the son of legendary NBA star LeBron James obviously has plenty of perks, from being super rich to being blessed with great basketball genes.
But it has its downsides, too.
Bronny James and his fans are learning that this week. A photo of Bronny’s prom date surfaced on social media this week. They’ve since sparked a lot of unfortunate reactions.

Unfortunately, some people appear to be bothered by the date selection.
The Daily Mail had some insights:
- ‘I wish he chose a black queen,’ someone wrote, which teed up another person who added, “Bronny you can do better than that. Come on. Not a good look.’
- ‘If it ain’t snowing, he ain’t going,’ said another.
- ‘Just not feeling the snow bunny,’ wrote yet another person. That comment had a reply that read, ‘Bronny loves playing in the snow.’
- “Shameful. Love yourself and your culture.”

Bronny James, of course, is just a high school student. He can take whomever he wants to prom.
The future USC Trojans athlete took the same young woman to his junior prom. Perhaps they’re dating or perhaps they are just friends.
Either way, both Bronny James and his date looked great over the weekend.
We wish both Bronny James and his date all the best moving forward in life. It’s going to be fun watching Bronny James at USC in 2023-24.
