BTSN Announces Brixton Takeover With Futuristic Flagship Store

Munich-based retailer BSTN is set to open its first-ever flagship on European shores in the heart of Brixton, South London. 

With basketball and the culture that surrounds the sport playing key roles within the brand’s DNA, BSTN’s third brick-and-mortar store will represent another local embassy of the global game. 

The brainchild of BSTN’s creative director, Duki Cvetkovic, and Sunst Studio, this one-of-a-kind retail space combines high-tech contemporary materials with a retro-futuristic interior to create a destination unlike any other.

Balancing  minimalist design with dynamic changes of tone, the 3,432 sq ft unit also seeks to blend BSTN’s luxe in-store executions and strong online campaigns.

One of the store’s key features—which can be viewed from outside—is its ability to shift between multiple stylistic scenarios, blending futuristic LED panels with classic vintage elements. Smooth monolithic surfaces of stainless steel and sanded concrete provide a seamless contrast against the ambassadorial warmth of the store’s wooden interiors, which house the retailer’s sought-after sneaker offering and hand-picked, curated apparel. 

Drawing inspiration from the local community, the London-residing outpost also features a dedicated community hub across its upper floor. Dubbed B-Hive, the space will regularly host community events ranging from panel talks to workshops and charity events, creating a local destination that goes beyond traditional retail stereotypes.
