The Bud Light boycott is apparently forcing at least one beer retailer in the U.S. to basically give away its snubbed suds.

A photo posted to Twitter by user Ed Latimore shows 24-can cases of Bud Light, which are being sold at an unnamed retailer for $19.98, have a $20 rebate offer taped to the stack.

“Things can’t be going great if they’re basically giving it away,” Latimore added.
Another Twitter user added that “You’re making two cents profit per case when you buy Bud Light. And there’s still plenty on the shelf. They can’t even give people money to take it off their hands!”
Bud Light, the U.S.’s top-selling brand and part of the Anheuser-Busch family of beers, has taken a huge financial hit after partnering with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney last month. Mulvaney started promoting Bud Light on April 1.
Bump Williams Consulting and NielsenIQ data suggested nationwide sales of Bud Light were down 23.6% versus a year ago in the week ending May 6, according to the New York Post. It was the fifth consecutive week of declining sales in the U.S.
