Budjerah has released his new single ‘Therapy’, which is available to stream and download now.
The single arrives ahead of the singer supporting Ed Sheeran on his huge Australian stadium tour throughout February and March.
Written by Grammy Award nominated Sarah Aarons (Zedd, Demi Lovato, John Legend) and Stint (Joji, Kesha, Panic! At The Disco), the track is an ode to the importance of therapy and open communication in relationships. With a guitar led production and a punchy pop-soul delivery, he finds a new bold confidence that still pays homage to his gospel roots.
Budjerah explains, “When I first heard the demo for ‘Therapy’, it hit me at the perfect time. I was going through a few things and the song really nailed how I was feeling at the time. ‘Therapy’ is about frustration in a relationship. It’s the thoughts and feelings that can erupt when you don’t understand each other and that can be tough to deal with. Therapy can come in many forms, but taking a step back and getting an outside perspective is something that has helped me.”
Budjerah first collaborated with Sheeran on the UK star’s track ‘2Step’ last year so supporting him on his Australian tour this year was a natural next step. The run follows Budjerah’s first headline tour, which took place in 2022, and included a run of festivals and shows in the UK.
