If an ex is bugging you, what better way then to name them after a cockroach that will be fed to an animal?

The annual “Cry Me a Cockroach” fundraiser is being offered by the San Antonio Zoo and sees a person make a $10 US donation to name the intended cockroach for an animal’s meal according to CNN.

The donation goes towards securing a future for Texas and global wildlife, says the zoos’s website.
And if bugs aren’t your thing, you can choose a vegetable for $5 US or a rodent for $25 US instead.
Every person who makes a donation this way will get a digital Valentine’s Day Card saying they’ve supported the zoo.
Donors can also send their ex a digital Valentine’s Day Card informing them that a cockroach, rodent, or veggie was named after them and fed to an animal.
Another $150 US will get the ex a personalized video message showing their cockroach, rodent or vegetable being eaten by an animal.
The event is going great, according to Cyle Perez, the zoo’s director of public relations, who told CNN they received more than 8,000 donations from all 50 states and over 30 different countries last year.

You just have to submit your name and donation before Valentine’s Day.
“Right now, we are on track to break last year’s record, with Zach, Ray and Adam being the most submitted ex-names so far,” Perez told CNN.
The Toronto Zoo had a similar name a cockroach campaign for Valentine’s Day this year but it has already ended, according to a zoo spokesperson reached on Monday.
