Bunnings have pledged their allegiance to Harry Styles after the British pop star donned a straw hat during his Australian tour.
The hardware company — most known for its sausage sizzles and selection of power tools — laid tribute to Styles with an iconic tweak to its website.
After Styles donned a Bunnings wide-brim hat during his Melbourne Love On Tour Concert on Friday, Bunnings jumped on board the hype train and enabled search results on its website for “Harry Styles” to show its “Bunnings Large Straw Hat.”
Priced at $7, the hat does not include British pop singer Harry Styles.
Taking to Instagram, Bunnings openly celebrated the moment, telling its hardware-loving audience they can now “shop Harry’s look”.
An internet storm ensued after Styles rocked the straw hat to a packed-out Marvel Stadium audience.
“Harry has no idea the cultural significance of wearing a #bunnings hat,” a post on Twitter wrote.
Not rehearsed in Australian culture, Styles, unaware of his mishap, accidentally wore the hat backwards.
“Ignorance is no excuse for this unfortunately. He must be educated.”
“The misappropriation of our sacred dress is not welcome,” one user wrote.
Harry Styles blessed Perth fans with a shoey during his Monday concert at HBF Park.
The act has since prompted safety concerns over drinking beverages out of footwear.
