Burnley are in talks to sign Aaron Ramsey on loan from Juventus, according to reports.

Juve are desperate to decrease their wage bill by getting the Wales international, who earns £400,000 a week, off their books.

Crystal Palace were in the running to sign Ramsey but pulled out of the race this week, even though the midfielder was reportedly keen to work with Patrick Vieira.

According to The Sun, Burnley are now stepping up their efforts to sign Ramsey and talks have begun with the Serie A club.

Newcastle United and Wolves are also interested in signing the 31-year-old.

Ramsey has started just one game in Serie A this season and hasn’t played a competitive game since October 20.

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri confirmed this week that Ramsey is set to leave the club before the transfer window closes.

‘Ramsey, he returned today after we had given him a few days off to work, to train separately, in England,’ said Allegri.

‘In any case, he’s an outgoing player.’
