The 68-year-old, who starred in The Railway Children, revealed Miriam comes in and out of the upcoming series, which is set to land on BBC One in January.
She explained: “Miriam Margolyes comes in and out of season 11 and she certainly remains mother superior.
“And what I must say is that it was magical when she reads Charles Dickens to the children [at Christmas] and I could have listened to it for ages.”
Jenny is referring to a touching scene in the Christmas special where Miriam’s character reads a classic story to a room full of children, midwives and nuns.
