MANILA, Philippines — The Gilas Pilipinas women’s youth team will compete in the FIBA 3×3 U17 Asia Cup 2022 starting October 13 in Malaysia.
Camille Nolasco, a national youth team 5-on-5 mainstay, is leading the 3×3 squad composed of Nazareth School’s BJ Villarin and Nicole Pring, and Adamson High School’s Arianna Delos Santos.
The Philippines is grouped in the Qualifying Draw A with Thailand and Hong Kong, where they need to win both games to advance to the pool play.
The team, coached by program director Pat Aquino, will open its campaign against Hong Kong at 2:50 p.m. on October 13, before taking on Thailand at 4:10 p.m.
Nolasco, a player of Miriam College, represented the country in the Fiba U18 Women’s Asian Championship last September, where she averaged 7.2 points, 3.4 assists, and 3.0 steals in five games.
