BT, Sky and Virgin had better beware. One rival to these big three firms has announced that it is now offering some of its users the chance to get broadband without paying a penny for the privilege. Community Fibre, which supplies around one million homes with internet access has launched the incentive which includes a whole three months of free access to the web.
That epic offer is available to all students heading back to university after the summer break. Once the initial free period is over customers who have signed up will then pay as little as £22 per month for the remainder of the 12-month deal.
Explaining more, the ISP said: “Community Fibre says it understands that not all students want to pay for a full 12-month contract during university, so throughout Freshers, London students can sign-up to Community Fibre’s 1 Gbps or 150 Mbps 100% full fibre package for a year and get the first three months free!”
If you are a student in London and want to take advantage of the offer then there are two deals to choose from.
Firstly, you can opt for standard 150Mbps speed. You’ll get the first three months free and then you’ll pay £27 per month.
If that doesn’t sound fast anywhere near fast enough there’s the option to switch things up to 1Gbps. This service would let you whizz a full HD movie to your TV in under 40 seconds and is over 10 times faster than the current UK average.
To access the offer, London students can head to communityfibre.co.uk/students and use the promocode STUDENT3M at checkout, as well as signing up to the service using their student email address.
Community fibre has confirmed that the offer ends 31st October 2023.
