The Mexican boxer will be duking it out in the ring with Russian fighter Dmitry Bivol, with Álvarez looking to take the WBA title off Bivol, which he has held since 2017.
Both fighters have impressive stats behind them, with Canelo having had 39 knockouts in 60 professional fights.
Bivol meanwhile – who has recently responded to claims that Russian boxers should be banned from the sport – is unbeaten in his previous 19 fights, 11 of which have been knockouts.

The fight takes place tonight – Saturday May 7, 2022 – although for UK fight fans the action will commence in the very early hours of Sunday morning.
It is taking place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada which has a capacity of 20,000.

The main card is scheduled to begin at 1am UK time, although Canelo and Dmitry will be some hours after that.
Their fight – the main event – is expected to begin at roughly 4am BST, which is when fans can expect the fighters to make their ring walks.

Both Canelo and Dmitry took part in a pre-fight weigh-in on Friday at the T-Mobile Arena.
Canelo, 31, came in at 174.4 pounds, while Bivol (also 31) officially weighed a few ounces more at 174.6 pounds.
