The news of Golovkin and Canelo’s trilogy venue being confirmed comes just days after Anthony Joshua’s rematch with Oleksandr Usyk was confirmed. Joshua lost his WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight titles in a surprise defeat to Usyk, who had made the step up from the cruiserweight division.
Usyk won via unaminous decision after outboxing the Brit and will be looking to defend his belts on August 20.
