Cannes 2023: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan makes a ravishing appearance at the red carpet

Finally, the star of the event has arrived after raising our anticipation level. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is a Cannes veteran. Over the years, Aishwarya Rai has made fans fall in love with her fashionable looks at the Cannes Film Festival. Aishwarya made her first appearance at the festival and this time, her choice of outfit seemed a little overwhelming for us. Considering her outfits became the talk of the town, her appearance seemed quite thanda.

For the Cannes outing, Aishwarya picked a sequin green ensemble that features with a matching elaborate cape. Minimal makeup and rusted brown lip colour, Ash looked stunning. However, her hairdo was a disappointment as there was nothing new to offer.

On Wednesday, Aishwarya was spotted with her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan at the airport. The mother-daughter duo kept it casual yet stylish. They received a warm welcome in France. A video of them was shared on social media by a fan club dedicated to the Ponniyin Selvan I actress.

For the uninitiated, Aishwarya made her first appearance at the Cannes Film Festival in 2002. Since then, she has been a regular at the prestigious event. From making heads turn in a golden outfit to looking her best in a floral gown, Aishwarya has always slayed at the red carpet.

On the work front, Aishwarya recently delivered a terrific performance in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan 2. The film also starred Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Trisha Krishnan, Karthi, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Sobhita Dhulipala. The second part did well at the box office. It has already crossed Rs 300 crore at the worldwide box office.

Well, a look at Aishwarya’s outfit reminds us of Sara Ali Khan’s trending pictures in the morning. Sara Ali Khan chose a traditional Indian lehenga designed by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. The Simmba actress also provided insight about why she chose to wear the outfit. Sara said, “A little bit nervous. I always aspired to be here someday, I can’t believe I am here.” Sara then elaborated on why she chose lehenga. The Simmba actress said, “It (the outfit) is traditional Indian, handmade work. And I have always been very proud of my ‘Indianness’ and therefore it embodies who I am, I think it is fresh, modern but also traditional Indian.”

Coming back to Aishwarya Rai, audience will see her again in Jailer with Rajinikanth.
