One person has died and multiple have been left injured after a car crashed “full speed” into an Apple store. Emergency services are now present at the scene in Hingham, Massachusetts, to undergo a “technical rescue”.
Washington news reporter Blair Miller today posted a photo, sent from a contact in Hingham, showing a smashed shop-front window.
He reported in a post on Twitter: “I’m being told four people are trapped in the Apple store.”
WCVB-TV Boston News Producer Jenna Perlman added that “we can see several people on stretchers” at the store, which is on Derby Street.
Journalist Todd Kazakiewich described the event as a “major incident”.
He reported “multiple injuries”.
One social media user also shared an insight into the incident after hearing from his wife, who he said saw this unfold.
@OpinionatedZach wrote in a post on Twitter: “My wife is at Derby Street in Hingham, a Black 4Runner drove full speed into the Apple store.
“She said there are a lot of injuries – my wife used a spare jacket as a tourniquet.”
