Cardi B is under investigation after hurling a microphone at a concertgoer who threw a drink on her while she performed a daytime show at Drai’s Beachclub in Las Vegas over the weekend.

In a viral video, Cardi is seen onstage wearing an orange dress while she lip-syncs her hit song Bodak Yellow when the overzealous fan near the front tosses a drink at her.

On social media, followers praised Cardi for taking on the unruly patron with one writing, “If s*** goes down when the world ends u need Cardi on ur side.”
“This was so disrespectful. Cardi’s aim was on point,” another added.
“Now they know, of all celebs, to not try that with Cardi B … Cardi was locked in!!!!” a third person added on TikTok.

But the incident revealed that the Grammy winner wasn’t actually singing as her voice could be heard as she verbally abused the drink flinger after getting soaked.
“She don’t even sing for all that money they paid. What a joke,” one person wrote, with another adding, “The song didn’t stop. Y’all listening to an iPad.”
On TikTok, one attendee shared a video of the exchange claiming they were the one pummelled by the mic.

“I’m bruised and sore,” they wrote, captioning the video, “When I’m the one who gets smoked by the microphone but didn’t throw the drink.”
“I KNEW SHE HIT THE WRONG GIRL,” one social media sleuth proudly declared.
The plot thickened after TMZ said that Cardi asked fans to throw water on her because she was “dying” in the hot temperatures.
“Splash me down,” said Cardi, in a second clip that started making the rounds on Monday, as fans could be seen obliging. “That s*** feel good. Put that s*** in my p****, b****. Come on.”

The outlet also reported that the woman who was struck by Cardi’s mic has reported the incident to police with ABC disclosing that cops have opened a battery investigation into the singer’s actions.
During another performance, Cardi was seen plunking a DJ who appeared to be cutting off her songs early.
Cardi’s angry response comes amid an uptick in musical artists finding themselves getting pelted with miscellaneous items during concerts this year.
Last month, Bebe Rexha was left with a black eye after she was hit with a cellphone. Rexha shared a photo of her bruised face to Instagram, with a thumbs up.
“I’m good,” she said in the post.
Country singer Kelsea Ballerini was also hit in the face, this time by a bracelet.

In London, Pink was left dumbfounded after a fan threw her mother’s ashes onto the stage as the singer was performing.
“Is this your mom?” Pink asked the fan. “I don’t know how to feel about this.”
Meanwhile, Drake has had an assortment of items pitched at him, including a woman who went viral after throwing her 36G bra at him and another who tossed a vape up on the stage in hopes the rapper would smoke with him.
“Did you throw a vape up here? Come on,” Drake asked. “There’s no way you’re taking life seriously if you think I’m gonna pick this vape up and vape with you at the f***ing Barclays Center. You got some real life evaluating to do.”
