What is going on at concerts?! After yet another instance of an attendee throwing something at an artist, Cardi B has responded in kind.
Based on a viral fan video that has been retweeted by the 30-year-old rapper, someone threw the contents of their cup at Cardi while she performed Bodak Yellow at Drai’s Beachclub in Las Vegas over the weekend.
Cardi B, who looked absolutely flawless in a sheer orange halter dress, responded to the incident by chucking her microphone directly at the audience member, who was seemingly removed by security. Clearly, her Twitter bio is “Mrs.DANGEROUS” for a reason.
All jokes aside, this violent concert trend needs to end immediately. Cardi B is just the latest in a string of performers who have been pelted with various items from the crowd, including Harry Styles, Pink, Drake, Kelsea Ballerini, and Bebe Rexha, who had to receive stitches at the emergency room after a so-called fan threw their phone at her face.
“I was trying to see if I could hit her with the phone at the end of the show because it would be funny,” suspected phone thrower Nicolas Malvagna allegedly told witnesses, according to the Manhattan district attorney’s office, per the Daily News.
Spoiler alert: It wasn’t! Malvagna was reportedly arrested and charged with multiple crimes, including assault and aggravated harassment.

Though some are criticising Cardi B for throwing a heavy piece of equipment back at the concertgoer, it’s fair to say artists are fed up with these unsafe working conditions. Even Adele felt the need to warn her fans to keep their belongings to themselves during her Las Vegas weekend residency.
“Have you noticed how people are forgetting f**king show etiquette at the moment? People are throwing shit on stage,” Adele told the crowd, per one fan recording shared in July. “Have you seen that? I fucking dare you — I dare you to throw something at me. I’ll fucking kill you.”
Of course, she then softened her message by firing her t-shirt cannon at the crowd, joking, “Stop throwing things at the artist, but you can shoot things at people. It’s a total reverse. I’ve gotta go back over and give my t-shirt gun back.” She added: “These people have lost it. Can you imagine?”
No, I can’t. Enough is enough.
