For its latest release, Carhartt WIP has teamed up with Finnegan Travers, a London-based photographer and visual artist, to present a reflective campaign for its Spring/Summer 2023 collection.
Known for his striking yet delicate imagery—and ability to imbue images of the everyday with a tactile quality—the seasonal photoset serves as an exploration of the UK’s juxtaposed landscapes.
From the idyllic South West coastline to the brutalist nature of London, detailed black and white photographs depict the spray of the ocean, wide city streets and unkempt bedrooms; powerful, contrasting imagery focuses not on the clothes themselves, but the project’s three main themes.
In true Carhartt WIP fashion, the evocative editorial showcase select garments from the new collection, including a “Buttercup” yellow crewneck made from trademark 440GSM heavyweight cotton, faded canvas vests with subtle branding, signature Michigan jackets, and a slew of relaxed denim in a light blue finish.
