Reuniting for Fall/Winter 2022, and building on the duo’s debut link up earlier this year, Carhartt WIP has once again teamed up with New Balance for a new fully fledged capsule collection—complete with a collaborative 990v1.
Initially teased by Carhartt WIP founder Edwin Faeh, the collection draws on the idea of the sculpture centre, a term which refers to the humble neighbourhood gyms found across America. Focusing on the very first silhouette in the 990 line, the gym-inspired silhouette features a mesh and suede upper readied in the pair’s signature colour palette of navy, light brown and traditional grey.
In addition to the sneaker, Carhartt WIP and New Balance continue to build on the capsule theme with updated takes on with the Arcan jacket, a selection of garment-dyed jersey cotton apparel pieces, co-branded graphic tees, and accessories, ranging from a reversible beanie and towel, to a water bottle in the same muted colour scheme.
